Nose Pimple
How to Treat a Nose Pimple
A nose pimple is most apt to occur in teenagers but adults also can suffer from a pimple in or on the outside of the nose. A nose pimple seems to be more painful than other spots on the body where pimples develop.
A pimple inside the nose can be hard to get rid of because the nose is so moist and wet. This is the perfect environment growing bacteria. That means that if you have an oozing pimple inside the nose, you have to be careful about not getting an infection.
Heredity has a lot to do with why some people get a lot of pimples and some don’t. Teenagers usually develop acne at some point during their teenage years but genetics has to do with how bad it will be. There are several things you can do to prevent and to treat a nose pimple and pimples on other parts of your body.
Diet and nutrition choices can do much to both prevent and heal pimples. You need to eat a diet high in vegetables and fruits because you need to take in plenty of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. You also need to drink more water every day. Water helps your skin stay fresh and moist plus it keeps you from becoming constipated.
Eating probiotics also helps keep pimples at bay. Probiotics are what are called “good bacteria.” They are living organisms just like those which reside in the gut. They help with digestion and vitamin absorption and production. They also boost the immune system.
Probiotics contain active live cultures, such as in yogurt. Other foods with probiotics are garlic, onions, bananas, honey and artichokes, among others. Eating fewer foods with processed carbohydrates and sugar can help prevent having excessive skin oil. It is the oil which clogs pores and causes pimples to grow. Stay away from white breads, donuts, and similar foods.
Eating a lot of natural and organic foods can really help you get rid of a nose pimple and stop pimples from forming in the first place. Other than diet, you can also try treatment with topical ointments. Depending on the nature of your pimples, you might even need to see a doctor to get prescription antibiotics or other medications.
One of the biggest causes of pimples is stress. Learning techniques of relaxation and reducing stress can be one of the keys to the return of clear skin. When you are a teenager, there is not as much you can do about pimples as when you are an adult. That’s because of the number of hormones which are active at this age.
If your parents or brothers and sisters had acne, chances are good you will have it too. Acne is actually rated in grades with grade 1 being the mildest and grade 4 being the worst case. Bad acne means you have blackheads and whiteheads, along with other cysts and pustules.
If you are a woman who uses makeup, you might have to make some changes to avoid getting a nose pimple or pimples elsewhere on the face. Oil-based makeup is particularly bad so if you get a lot of pimples, you need to switch to a makeup that is not oil-based. You also need to wash off all of your makeup when you go to bed at night.
Keeping your face clean and being careful about getting every bit of soap rinsed off your skin is critical to the prevention of pimples. If you do get a nose pimple, try to get some topical ointment on it and just be patient. Although it may be uncomfortable and hurting, eventually it will run its course and disappear.
